Paiste 22" Custom Signature Heavy Bell Ride Reviews 5

I use Paiste cymbals since I was a kid. In fact, I started with a K/Z Zildjian Hi-hat and I hated it. When I tried the Paiste Signature Sound Edge Hi-hat I forgot about other cymbal brands. Paiste is by far the BEST cymbal maker on the planet. After using Signatures, 2002s, and 3000s for years, I have to sell my whole set. Now I am building a new one and I decided to order a custom made 22 inch signature heavy bell ride. I ordered the cymbal at Guitar Center. It wasn't cheap at all (around 430USD), but again you get what you pay for.

This ride rocks. I can't understand how Zildjian put raw pieces of metal for sale calling them "professional" cymbals. It's ridiculous. My Paiste Heavy Bell Ride is so good, so musical, so easy to play, it's unbelievable. Recording this cymbal is a pleasure. No EQ needed. Stick response is awesome, the bell is a KILLER and if you ride like Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden) using the shoulder of the stick on the cymbal body, you will extract all the tones this beauty can produce at a VERY VERY high volume. I won't play another ride in my life. If you can't custom order a 22 inch, get the stock 20 inch. You'll love it.

Soundwise, nothing. Carrying it around is a little bit of work... It's a very heavy cymbal! Oh well...

Flawless. The "reflector" finish on this cymbal really sets it apart from the rest.

If you are serious about your sounds, get this cymbal. If you only play for fun/hobbie or will let your kids/nephews or whoever's bash around your kit, forget it. This cymbal deserves to be treated with respect. Bottom line: Want quality? Buy PAISTE cymbals. It's that simple.
